The South African foreign minister reiterated Friday that “any resolution to any conflict must be inclusive,” referring to conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
Ronald Lamola told a news conference after the G20 foreign ministers meeting in Johannesburg that his country’s “position has been very clear from the onset.”
“We continue to believe that any resolution to any conflict must be inclusive,” he said, adding that other issues were discussed during the meeting, including conflicts in Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and those in most parts of the African continent.
Lamola added that participants agreed on the need to restructure the UN to make it “relevant to the current international reality.”
Johannesburg hosted officials and representatives from more than 30 countries for the two-day meeting.
