ANKARA (AA) – Asian stock markets closed mixed on Tuesday, as most of them failed to recover from the previous day's massive losses.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, was down 42 points, or 1.3%, to 3,236 at 0915 GMT.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock exchange was the worst performer of the day by plummeting 357 points, or 1.32%, to 26,629.
While the Indian Sensex benchmark dropped 244 points, or 0.46%, to 52,600, the Singapore index decreased 28 points, or 0.9%, to finish at 3,110.
China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange, on the other hand, was the best performer of the day by adding 33 points, or 1.02%, to 3,288.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, remained unchanged at 21,068.
