GAZA CITY, Palestine / ISTANBUL (AA) – At least 10 more Palestinians were killed and scores injured as the Israeli army escalated its attacks in the war-torn Gaza Strip on Tuesday, medics said.
A medical source told Anadolu that three people lost their lives, and more than 15 others were injured when Israeli forces shelled people waiting for aid trucks in the Netzarim Corridor, southwest of Gaza City.
One Palestinian was also killed, and 50 others were injured in another Israeli strike on a crowd waiting for aid delivery in Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza, a medical source at Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp said.
Six other people were killed by Israeli shelling of their houses in the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza.
According to witnesses, the Israeli army shelled residential buildings in eastern Gaza City and eastern Khan Younis in the south.
Despite international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has killed more than 56,500 Palestinians in a deadly onslaught in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
