At least 15 more Palestinians were killed on Thursday in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the war-devastated Gaza Strip, medics said.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing medical sources, said 10 people, including nine from the same family, were killed in a strike targeting a barracks sheltering displaced civilians in the central city of Deir al-Balah.
Five more people lost their lives when fighter jets hit a home in the Al-Saftawi area in northwestern Gaza City.
Israeli army forces also raided the courtyard of the Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza amid heavy gunfire, Wafa said.
According to the news agency, Israeli forces set fire to tents housing displaced people on the hospital’s grounds.
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 53,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
