YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AA) - At least 25,000 people have been displaced in the last three days due to an ongoing conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
People began fleeing their homes when rebels from the M23 group attacked Congolese security positions near the border town of Bunagana on Sunday.
The Congolese army confirmed in a statement that the rebels had taken control of Bunagana.
Clashes around the town continue.
