KARACHI, Pakistan (AA) – An Australian man who allegedly plowed through a busy shopping center in a car appeared in court on Tuesday and was charged with 13 conduct and driving offenses, local media reported.
Lawrence Gardam, 45, allegedly drove through a shopping center in the city of Sale in Victoria state on Monday, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
He allegedly drove through the food court before exiting the other side and fleeing the scene.
No one was injured.
The charges against him include engaging in reckless conduct that placed persons in danger of death, driving a motor vehicle in a manner endangering the public, and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an illicit drug.
