AMMAN, Jordan (AA) – Iraq said Wednesday it will not allow any group to use Iraqi territories to attack neighboring countries.

"We have constitutional commitments to not allow any organization to use the Iraqi territories to attack the neighboring countries," Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein told a press conference in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

Hussein held talks with his Jordanian and Egyptian counterparts, Ayman Safadi and Sameh Shoukry, to discuss cooperation between the three countries.

The top diplomat said Iraq’s foreign policy seeks to deepen ties with neighboring countries.

In recent months, several meetings took place between the three countries, including meetings at the presidential level, in which a form of alliance came into existence between them.
