ANKARA (AA) - Barcelona beat Levante 2-1 late Sunday reducing the gap to Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid to three points.
Teenager Ansu Fati scored two goals for his team at Camp Nou Stadium.
The 17-year-old forward put the ball into Levante's net in the 30th and 31st minute to clinch victory for Barcelona.
Assisted by Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, Fati became the youngest La Liga player to score two goals in a match.
Fati, who is originally from the West African nation of Guinea-Bissau, became a Spanish citizen to play for the national football team.
Before Fati, the youngest record holder in the category was Real Betis forward Juanmi Jimenez.
Ruben Rochina scored the consolation goal for Levante in the second half's injury time.
Following their win, Barcelona rank second in the league table with 46 points.
Their historic rival, Real Madrid are at the top of the La Liga with 49 points.
Levante are at 13th place in the standings.
