Allied cooperation, deepening NATO partnerships on agenda: Spokeswoman

TORONTO (AA) - President Joe Biden will host NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House on Monday to discuss the alliance’s Summit, according to a statement by Wednesday.

"President Biden looks forward to welcoming Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), to the White House on Monday, June 12 to discuss the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania," said White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre.

Biden and Stoltenberg will review preparations for the summit, including further strengthening the Allied deterrence and defense, build on the 2014 Wales Summit defense investment pledge and deepening NATO partnerships, it said.

The two men will also discuss support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's war of aggression, it added.
