BAGHDAD (AA) – At least six people were killed after a suicide bombing struck a Shia Turkmen town in northern Iraq on Saturday.
A bomber blew up his explosives-laden vehicle at a gathering of Shia Turkmens in Shah Sayan town in Tuz Khormato city in northern Iraq, police officer Salahuddin al-Shemri told Anadolu Agency.
“Six people were killed and six others injured in the attack,” he said.
According to al-Shemri, the bombing has left a vast trail of destruction in the town.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, though Iraqi authorities often point the finger at the Daesh terrorist group, which seized vast swathes of territory in western and northern Iraqi in 2014.
