ANKARA (AA) - The Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker was selected Thursday to play in this weekend’s NBA All-Star Game as Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard’s replacement.

''Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard on Team LeBron in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday,” the NBA said on its website.

Lillard will miss the 69th NBA All-Star Game over a groin injury he suffered Wednesday.

Booker will play his first NBA All-Star Game in his fifth season in the league.

He will make an appearance for Team LeBron averaging 26.4 points, 6.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game this season.

He will also compete in the three-point contest on Saturday.

The 69th NBA All-Star Game will be held in the Chicago Bulls' home court at the United Center.
