ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,112.04 points on Monday, rising 0.01% or 0.08 points from the previous close.
At the last week's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.12% at 1,111.96 points, with a daily trading volume of 12.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 7.5770 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.5740 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 8.9860 from 8.9650, while one British pound traded for 9.8370 Turkish liras, down slightly from 9.8480.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $43 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
