VARNA, Bulgaria (AA) – The Bulgarian prime minister said on Tuesday that irregular migration had come to an end thanks to Turkish government's will.
Speaking at a press conference in eastern Varna province Boyko Borisov said that with help from the Turkish government irregular migration has come down to zero.
Borisov said their country had made great efforts to prevent irregular migration.
He added that the EU had given Bulgaria 160 million euros ($188.19 million) to secure the country’s external borders.
"You [the Bulgarian people] can sleep easily at night because of the efforts of police and army," he added.
Earlier this year, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev stressed that Bulgaria’s border with Turkey is well protected and that Sofia places great importance on good relations with Ankara.
