ANKARA (AA) - A Spanish La Liga match between Cadiz and Barcelona on Saturday was abruptly stopped by the referee as a fan in the stands was in need of medical intervention.
"The game has been stopped due to a medical emergency with a fan in the stands. The players are going to the locker rooms," Barcelona said on Twitter.
Both clubs' medical staff were nearby the fan for immediate medical care.
Barcelona were leading the match 2-0 when the match was stopped in the 82nd minute at Cadiz's home ground.
