Car-bomb kills nine in Syria’s Raqqa

Most of the victims were civilians, according to local sources

ANKARA (AA) - Nine people were killed Tuesday when a car-bomb exploded in Syria's northern city of Raqqa.

Most -- if not all -- of the victims were civilians, local sources said, adding that at least six other people had been injured by the blast.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Last October, the YPG/PKK terrorist group -- backed by a U.S.-led military coalition -- wrested control of Raqqa from the Daesh terrorist group.
