BAVARIA, Germany (AA) - The Chiemsee lake, located in the German state of Bavaria some 70 kilometers (229 feet) east of Munich, attracts many visitors every season.
Situated at an elevation of 518 meters (1,699 feet) between the Inn and Salzach rivers, it is the largest lake in Bavaria. The lake is also called the “Bavaria Sea.”
