ISTANBUL (AA) - Chile's annual consumer inflation rose 13.3% in November, the country's national statistics institute INE announced on Wednesday.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index (CPI) posted an increase of 1% in November, compared to the previous month.
"Ten of the twelve divisions that make up the CPI basket contributed positive incidences in the monthly variation of the index," the INE said in a statement.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages showed a montlhy gain of 1.7%, followed by transportation with a 1.3% increase.
The Central Bank of Chile on Tuesday kept its monetary policy interest rate unchanged at 11.25% with a unanimous vote of its board members.
"Despite the recent downturn in some economies, global inflationary pressures remain high," Banco Central de Chile said in a statement.
The central bank noted that inflation remains high and its return to the bank's 3% target is "still subject to risks."
