ISTANBUL (AA) - China said on Monday that it will conduct an expiry review of anti-dumping measures on n-propanol (NPA) imported from the US on Tuesday.
The decision announced by the Commerce Ministry came after domestic NPA producers submitted an application on Sept. 12, arguing that ending these measures may lead to the recurrence of dumping, harming the domestic industry.
The ministry said that the anti-dumping duties will remain in effect during the expiry review investigation, which will be concluded before Nov. 18, 2026, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.
Current measures were first imposed on Nov. 18, 2020, for a period of five years, with rates ranging from 254.4% to 267.4%.
A colorless liquid used as a solvent and chemical intermediate used in lithium-battery electrolyte components, NPA is an important raw material for pharmaceuticals, coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, and other products.
