China on Monday launched its first commercial rocket of 2025 with five satellites, according to state-run media.

China’s private aerospace company Galactic Energy launched the CERES-1 carrier rocket with five satellites onboard, Global Times reported.

The rocket was launched at 6:11 p.m.(1011GMT) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, successfully sending five satellites into the Sun-synchronous orbit.

On Jan. 7, Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology launched the country's first satellite of the year aboard the indigenously-built Long March-3B rocket.

Later on Jan. 13, China launched a domestically produced rocket carrying the satellite group CentiSpace-01 from the sea, successfully delivering the payload into orbit.
