ISTANBUL (AA) - China on Monday successfully launched a group of satellites for the internet, state-run Xinhua News reported.
The satellites were sent into orbit from a commercial launch site in Hainan, a southern island province.
The Long March-12 carrier rocket lifted off at 6:21 p.m. local time (1021GMT), placing the seventh group of low-orbit internet satellites in their designated orbit.
The launch marked the 587th mission of the Long March series.
