ISTANBUL (AA) – China on Tuesday successfully launched a group of low-Earth orbit satellites, which will constitute an internet constellation, state-run Xinhua News reported.
The satellite group, the 10th of its kind, took off from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site in the southern island province of Hainan.
The satellites were launched at 3.08 am on Tuesday (1908GMT Monday) aboard a homegrown Long March-8A carrier rocket and successfully entered their planned orbit.
