China on Friday launched a new batch of low Earth orbit satellites into space, state-run media reported.
The satellites were launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province, northern China, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The launch took place at 4:45 am (2045GMT Thursday) aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket.
The mission marked the 580th launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
