Commercial CERES-1 Y7 rocket places satellites for Tianqi constellation into space

ISTANBUL (AA) - China launched a group of satellites into space Friday aboard a sea-based rocket from waters off the eastern province of Shandong, according to Xinhua News.

The commercial CERES-1 Y7 rocket lifted off at 4.10 am (2010GMT Thursday), carrying satellites for the Tianqi constellation,

The offshore launch was carried out by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
