The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) on Friday said that the Shenzhou-21 crewed spacecraft will be launched soon.
According to the agency, the spacecraft, along with its Long March-2F carrier rocket, has been transferred to the launch area and will be launched at an appropriate time in the near future, state-run Xinhua News reported.
CMSA added that all facilities and equipment are in good condition, and pre-launch function checks are now underway.
China’s Shenzhou-20 spacecraft was launched in April and successfully docked with the Tiangong space station.
On Thursday, China launched a new communication technology test satellite aboard a Long March-5 rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province.
The satellite successfully entered its planned orbit and will be used to conduct multi-band and high-speed communication technology validation tests, marking the 602nd mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
