ANKARA (AA) – China’s Tianzhou-9 cargo craft successfully docked Tuesday at the rear docking port of Tianhe, the core module of its space station Tiangong, state media reported.

The Tianzhou-9 entered its orbit and completed its status setting after the process was conducted at 8.52 a.m. Beijing time (0052GMT), said Xinhua News, citing the China Manned Space Agency.

The Shenzhou-20 crew members onboard the space station will enter the cargo craft and transfer the payloads as scheduled.

China launched the Shenzhou-20 crewed spaceship in April, replacing the Shenzhou-19 taikonauts, who will return home after conducting six months of research in space.
