ISTANBUL (AA) - Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Friday called for integrating policy support with reform and innovation to "better stimulate market vitality and create new growth drivers in domestic demand," according to the state-run newspaper China Daily.
Li made the remarks while presiding over a plenary meeting of the State Council, which discussed a draft government work report and a draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for economic and social development.
Both documents are set to be deliberated in March.
He said it is essential to prioritize stabilizing employment, businesses, markets and expectations, ensure policies are rolled out promptly when needed, and guarantee the completion of this year's goals and tasks.
The premier also stressed the need to balance immediate and long-term priorities to "promote high-quality development in a solid manner."
"Greater breakthroughs are particularly needed in the development of new quality productive forces, and in strengthening the domestic economy and increasing household incomes," he added.
