ISTANBUL (AA) – A helicopter with six people, including five foreigners, on board went missing in Nepal, local media reported on Tuesday.
The chopper, registered as 9N-AMV, was flying to capital Kathmandu from Solukhumbu in eastern Nepal, The Himalayan Times reported.
The chopper lost contact with the control tower shortly after 10 a.m. local time (0415GMT). The foreigners are said to be Mexican nationals.
Aviation authorities are working to locate the missing helicopter.
The local media also reported that the passengers aboard the missing helicopter are believed to be five Mexican nationals. However, their identities have not yet been disclosed.
