ANKARA (AA) - Total sales in the EU commercial vehicle market decreased by 24.9% to 153,553 in March compared to the same period last year, according to data by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) on Wednesday.
Almost all EU markets posted declines, including the four major ones, with Spain seeing the sharpest fall (-41.2%), followed by France (-25.9%), Germany (‑19.6%) and Italy (-9.7%).
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2022, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU also shrank by 18.1% to 411,097 units.
"March results dragged down the quarterly performance more than the results recorded during the first two months of the year," said ACEA.
Total commercial vehicle sales in the EU have been declining since July.
