ANKARA (AA) – One of Türkiye’s deputy foreign ministers had been appointed to Croatia as Ankara’s new ambassador, under a decree published in the Official Gazette early Tuesday.
According to the decree, Yavuz Selim Kiran is replacing Mustafa Babur Hizlan as Türkiye’s ambassador to Croatia.
The move comes the same week that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is paying a three-country visit to the Balkans, including Croatia.
Hizlan will return to work in the capital Ankara, the decree added.
