ISTANBUL (AA) – A court in Dhaka on Monday is set to announce its verdict in cases against ousted Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Hasina, who fled to India on Aug. 5 last year, is facing charges of crimes against humanity, among others.

The proceedings are currently in progress at the Dhaka-based International Crimes Tribunal.

A mass student-led uprising ousted Hasina's government of the Awami League party. Some 1400 people were killed during last year's summer uprising.
