US transport safety board to launch probe into Kentucky UPS plane crash

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will launch a go-team to investigate the deadly Tuesday crash of a UPS MD-11 cargo aircraft. An NTSB board member will serve as an on-scene spokesperson, with a media briefing expected. At least seven people were killed after the cargo plane crashed near Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) in Louisville, Kentucky.


Rubio to meet with Cuban opposition figure, lawmakers, Central Asian counterparts

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to sit down with Cuban opposition figure Jose Daniel Ferrer at the State Department as the Trump administration ramps up a campaign in Latin America that it says targets “narcoterrorists.” Rubio will later brief a bipartisan group of lawmakers on Capitol Hill regarding ongoing strikes conducted by the Trump administration in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean that allegedly target boats carrying drugs to the US. Russia's capital Moscow to host a meeting of the Council of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The meeting will notably include the participation of Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan, who will attend the meeting on behalf of Yerevan for the first time in three years.
