World's Largest Turkish Course: Distance Turkish Education Portal Reaches 100,000 in 1 Year

 
 
The Yunus Emre Institute's (YEE) ‘Distance Turkish Education Portal’ was established with the aim of promoting Turkish language and culture across the world. In one year, the program has reached people in 159 countries across six continents. A meeting heralding the success the program has achieved was held in Ankara by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Prof. Numan Kurtulmuş and Yunus Emre Institute’s President, Dr. Şeref Ateş.  
 
 
In the meeting, Dr. Prof. Numan Kurtulmuş said that hundreds of thousands of people had been brought together through teaching Turkish to people around the world. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş said, “We have footprints everywhere in the world.” YEE President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş emphasized that the number of users increases every day, saying, "We have reached 100,000 people through the Distance Turkish Education Portal. Our target is 5 million users. This success is the work of valuable Yunus Emre employees.”
