BAGHDAD (AA) - An attempt was made to attack an Iraqi military base in the southern city of Nasiriyah using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Two UAVs targeted the military base, according to a statement from the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.
Both drones were shot down by anti-aircraft units belonging to the army, and no casualties were reported.
The statement added that a comprehensive investigation has been launched.
Authorities emphasized that the matter is being handled within the legal framework, and the investigation is ongoing.
