Turkey’s disaster agency says quake struck off coast of Marmaris in southwestern province of Mugla

ANKARA (AA). - A magnitude 4.4 earthquake jolted Turkey's Mediterranean region on Friday, according to the nation's disaster agency.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake struck off the coast of Marmaris in Turkey’s southwestern province of Mugla at 4.16 p.m. local time (1316GMT).

The tremors occurred 37 kilometers (22.9 miles) below the surface.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.
