Egypt deports Syrian national for ‘public interest’

Egypt is home to thousands of Syrians, who fled the civil war in their country in 2011

CAIRO (AA) – Egyptian authorities have deported a Syrian national for reasons related to “public interest”, according to the official MENA news agency on Saturday.

MENA, however, did not give any further details about the reason of the deportation.

Local media identified the deportee as Ahmed. F. T, born in 1974.

Anadolu Agency could not reach the Syrian deportee for comment.

Egypt is home to thousands of Syrians, who fled the civil war in their country in 2011.

Egyptian authorities say they provide all forms of help to the Syrian refugees in the country.
