At least 50 Muslims have been killed in attacks on two mosques in New Zealand

CAIRO (AA) – Four Egyptian nationals have been killed in New Zealand's mosque attacks, the country's immigration minister confirmed on Saturday.

In a statement, Nabila Makram said the New Zealander police have confirmed that four Egyptians had been killed in the terrorist attacks, offering her condolences to families of the victims.

At least 50 Muslims were killed when a gunman opened fire on worshippers during the weekly Friday prayers at the Al Noor and Linwood mosques in Christchurch in New Zealand.

Four suspects -- three men and one woman -- have been detained. One suspected has been reportedly released.
