JERUSALEM (AA) – Egypt's intelligence chief Abbas Kamel on Wednesday met with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, local media reported.
Kamel arrived in Israel and met with Bennett, and will meet with Defense Minister Benny Gantz later today, Walla news website said.
This visit was not previously announced.
Israeli media said that the visit focuses on "developments in Gaza."
Egypt carries out mediating efforts between Israel and the Palestinians to establish a cease-fire in Gaza.
