ISTANBUL (AA) – An emergency Arab summit opened in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Tuesday to discuss the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The summit is headed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and sees a remarkable participation from Arab leaders and officials.
“We reject any attempts to displace Palestinians, support the two-state solution, and call for backing Egypt’s reconstruction plan,” Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the current chair of the annual Arab summit, said in his opening speech.
