ANKARA (AA) - President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday announced the election manifesto of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party for the upcoming June 24 elections, vowing to turn the country into a high-income nation.
The president unveiled the election manifesto titled "Strong Parliament, Strong Government, Strong Turkey" at the Ankara Arena in the capital.
"Turkey's new aim is to be among high-income countries," he said.
"Turkey will not only be self sufficient in the defense industry, but also it will become one of the leading exporting countries," he said.
"We will increase women's labour force participation rate to over 40 percent by the end of 2023," he added.
Erdogan also said AK Party will achieve high, sustainable economy along with an increase in Turkey's share from world economy to 1.5 percent.
