BRUSSELS (AA) - The EU leaders could not decide who should take over the bloc’s top jobs after 18-hours-long summit, an official said on Monday.

Preben Aamann, spokesman of European Council President Donald Tusk, said on Twitter that Tusk suspended the meeting and will reconvene it on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. local time (0900 GMT).

Since Sunday evening, leaders of the EU’s 28 member-states try to negotiate on the names who will get the top jobs at the EU Commission, European Council, European Parliament, the high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, and European Central Bank.
