ANKARA (AA) - Manchester United defeated Celta Vigo 1-0 in Spain in UEFA Europa League semi final first leg match-up late Thursday.

The only goal in the match came in 67', when United youngster Marcus Rashford scored a brilliant free-kick, beating Vigo goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez.

Alvarez managed to deny United opportunities in the first half, saving Rashford's, Henrih Mkhitaryan's and Jesse Lingard's close shots.

The second leg of the semi final will be played at renowned Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on Wednesday evening.

Celta Vigo have a mountain to climb as they must win at United's home with a score of at least 1-0.

Manchester United are now unbeaten in nine consecutive Europa League games.
