European markets end Monday with mixed figures

While UK and Italy's indices post positive figures, Germany, France and Spain's markets close day in negative territory

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed the first transaction day of the week with mixed figures.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.19 points, or 0.04%, to close at 45,479 points.

The UK's FTSE 100 index ended at 7,442, up 37.66 points, or 0.51%.

Germany's DAX 30 was down 0.6%, or 86.12 points, to 14,326 points.

France's CAC 40 dropped 0.57%, or 37.9 points, to 6,582 points.

Italy's FTSE MIB was up by 72.55 points, or 0.3%, to end the day at 24,294 points, while Spain's IBEX 35 lost 28.4 points, or 0.34%, to 8,389 points.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 2,175.03 points, up 1.43% from the previous close.

Stocks in Asia were also mixed at the close.
