ISTANBUL (AA) - Eurozone economy expanded by 0.1% quarter-on-quarter in the April-June period, Eurostat stated on Wednesday.
The EU economy has also posted a positive growth rate in GDP with 0.2%, statistical office's preliminary data showed.
In the first quarter of 2025, GDP had increased by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.5% in the EU.
On a yearly basis, euro area and the EU's GDP growth rates were at 1.4% and 1.5%, respectively.
Among the member states, Spain (0.7%) posted the highest increase compared to the previous quarter, followed by Portugal (0.6%) and Estonia (0.5%).
Declines were registered in Ireland (minus 1%), Germany and Italy (both minus 0.1%).
The year-on-year growth rate was positive for all countries.
