ANKARA (AA) - Eurozone investor confidence in December fell to its lowest level since April, according to Frankfurt-based research firm Sentix's capital market survey.

The investor confidence came at 13.5 in December, down 4.8 points from 18.3 in November, and well below the market expectation of 15.9.

The current conditions index fell for the third consecutive month to 13.3 in December, from 23.5 in November, and marked its lowest since May.

"A slowdown and even a recession no longer seem to be ruled out now," Sentix Managing Director Manfred Huebner said in a statement. "These lockdowns hit the economy harder than before."
