ISLAMABAD (AA) - An explosion was heard inside a mosque in northeastern Afghanistan where Taliban officials were attending funeral prayers for a slain deputy governor, an official said.
According to local broadcaster Tolo News, the explosion occurred in the Prophet's Mosque in Badakhshan province.
Moazuddin Ahmadi, a local Taliban official, also confirmed the explosion, saying it was not clear if there were any casualties.
