ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague match between Fenerbahce Beko and Real Madrid has been suspended due to COVID-19, EuroLeague announced on Monday.

"Madrid requested the suspension after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves it without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play," a EuroLeague statement said.

The Round 18 game was scheduled to be held on Dec. 29.

Following the special regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the EuroLeague Commercial Assets Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times if there are available dates, the statement said.
