ISTANBUL (AA) - Medipol Basaksehir have reigned Turkey’s top football league with eight-point lead after the runner-up Galatasaray drew Erzurumspor 1-1 on Sunday.
After Sunday’s win over Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor 2-0, the league leaders increased their lead to eight points with 54 points in the week 22 of Spor Toto Super Lig.
On Sunday, the runner-up Galatasaray drew with B.B. Erzurumspor 1-1 to increase their points to 46.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce defeated Caykur Rizespor 3-2 on Saturday. The struggling Yellow Canaries have been suffering the worst season in their history, with only six wins in 24 outings.
Fenerbahce are now in 14th place with 28 points and 26 points away from the top spot.
On Saturday, Besiktas drew with Istikbal Mobilya Kayserispor 2-2. They are in the third place with 41 points.
