ANKARA (AA) - Brazil coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, better known as Tite, is set to manage the national team until the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In a statement Wednesday, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said that along with Tite, coordinator-general Edu Gaspar's contract was also extended.

Tite, 57, was appointed Brazil's National Football Team coach in 2016.

In 26 matches since his appointment, Tite has had 20 victories, four draws, and two defeats.

In the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Brazil was eliminated by Belgium in the quarterfinals.
