ISTANBUL (AA) - The England's Premier League club Chelsea can sign players during the January transfer window after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) lifted their embargo on Friday.
CAS issued its decision in a statement on Friday in the arbitration procedure between Chelsea and FIFA.
The ban imposed by FIFA for breaching rules on signing young players was due to cover two last summer and upcoming winter transfer windows for the English club.
CAS also reduced Chelsea’s fine by half from 600,000 to 300,000 Swiss francs ($303,000).
