Liverpool win 6th match in a row in Premier League, Barcelona's Messi scores hat-trick, PSG's match postponed due to protests

ISTANBUL (AA) - England's Liverpool, Spain’s Barcelona, Italy’s Juventus, Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, and France’s Paris Saint German (PSG) have taken the top-tier after the latest games in top five European football leagues.

In England's Premier League, Manchester United won sixth match in a row, beating Manchester United 3-1 to reach 45 points, followed by Manchester City with 44 points.

Reigning champion Manchester City beat Everton 3-1 while Tottenham defeated Burnley 1-0 and Chelsea beat Brighton 2-1.

In Spain's La Liga, Barcelona defeated Levante 5-0 and remained at the top position of the league with 34 points. Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick and provided two assists in 5-0 win.

Sevilla beat Girona 2-0 while Atletico Madrid defeated Real Valladolid 3-2, Real Madrid beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0.

Barcelona were followed by Sevilla and Atletico Madrid with 31 points each and Real Madrid with 29 points.

In Italy's Serie A, Juventus beat Torino 1-0 and stayed on the top of the league with 15 wins in 16 matches.

In Germany's Bundesliga, the leader Borussia Dortmund beat Werder Bremen 2-1 to reach 39 points while reigning champion Bayern Munich defeated Hannover 96 4-0 and remained 9 points away from top of the league.

In France's Ligue 1, some matches failed to be played due to the Yellow Vests protests across the country.

The match of leader PSG was also postponed. Nevertheless, PSG remained at the top of the league with 44 points.
